EAD Question!
my current F1 OPT is expiring next week. My AOS EAD is pending. Am I qualified for the auto 180-day extension to work legally?

you need to apply for a renewal of the EAD then they’ll send you a letter with the 180 days extension

I am on opt extension and the current EAD cannot be renewed.

Check with your Human Resources department.

Unfortunately, you won’t qualify for 180 day auto extension on your EAD. In order to qualify for extension your EAD has to be with the same category. Generally, OPT EAD falls under c03 category and AOS EAD under c09.
