EAD for EB2-NIW applicants
Has anyone received EAD who has applied green card under EB2-NIW recently? it’s been 6 months (Jan 2023) we have applied for and our green card is pending. Our priority date is August 2022. I was wondering if EAD is affected as well or not.

@Ashok Silwal I thought the priority date was the date that they received the I-485. When did you submit the I-485 form? Did you file all forms at once?

@Sadhana Chalise I got mine in May and my wife got hers approved today. After her case was closed few days ago, it turned new card being processed and then case approved.

fingerprints end of March and still waiting, it’s been 4 months. USCIS website shows it takes on average 11 months for National benefits center. Did you receive your travel parole?

Not received yet but it says card is being produced, NIW, PD Feb 2022, I filed i765 April 23, today just changed so hopefully it will change yours soon

PD March 2022. Submitted I-485 March 2023. Requested for expedited processing 2 months later. They took 1.5 months to process it.

@AH Nio what was your criteria to request for expedite ? what did you write in your cover letter?

We had urgent travel needs for humanitarian reason. USCIS approved combo card that serves EAD too. I guess if you face economic hardship that one option you can try.

My Priority date is September 2022. My I-140 was approved in January 2023. I submitted my I-485 and I-765 together on March 2023, and my EAD (I-765) got approved this week (~4 months for EAD). It seems the EAD is not affected. Hope you will also get yours soon!
