The extension starts when your current EAD expire after receiving the receipt for EAD renewal.

@sat ban It’s not difficult, the USCIS website has a very detailed instruction as to how to submit the form, the form themselves and any document requirements needed per individuals unique cases. My advice would be to read the instructions carefully and make a checklist so you don’t miss anything.
