damn, they are cold asf that’s all I know. Been waiting 371 days and no EAD. I expedited a total of 4 times and only received a RFE after the second expedite. I replied to the RFE and then waited again and nothing. I switched to VAWA in November and expedited again in March and then April through Congress and still waiting and no reply at all smh. Now I am wondering if this is all a ploy to get people to get fed up and go home smh.

@N RL they want the relationship to failed that’s why they take long on ead because you can’t work so it’s hard on your relationship

here is what USCIS says on the website: “Job loss may be sufficient to establish severe financial loss for a person, depending on the individual circumstances. For example, the inability to travel for work that would result in job loss might warrant expedited treatment. The need to obtain employment authorization, standing alone, without evidence of other compelling factors, does not warrant expedited treatment.” I think they are denying it basing on the fact that simply saying you will lose your job doesn’t meet the criteria. Maybe try to provide additional detailed evidence on how this would affect your family financially? Or how your company would suffer from losing you?

@E S I’m in the same situation too and idk maybe being unemployed for 10 MONTHS could constitute significant financial hardship? Useless dogshit USCIS

@E S I’ll try again :/ just sucks they took 5 months and I did prepare a 20 page evidence package and all they told me 3 months in was that they might have lost it so please send again

Hang in there! I’ve tried to expedite my EAD 3 times and no luck! I submited a letter from my office mention I need to provide my EAD to remind working, then I faxed a letter describing my situation at the time I am pregnant and need remind working to get money cause we will have a baby, then my baby born and I resubmit my baby’s birth certificate along with the explaination letter and letter from my office and still no respond! till few days before one year mark of my PD then they approved my EAD without accepting my expedite request. So just wait, there’s no others choice cause they really don’t care
