@Nick A you would have to apply for a i-131 which would come as a separate approval

@Oly Ray I did apply and it got approved like 10 days ago. does it come as a separate card, or just the approval notice will be enough for re-entry?

probably, you will get one more EAD c 09 with I131. EAD c 31 is for Vawa.

@ Nick Ray: found this online. hope it helps: USCIS has recently changed its practices and is no longer issuing the combo EAD/AP card for I-485 applicants who file concurrent I-765 EAD work permit and I-131 AP travel permit applications. Citing efforts to eliminate backlogs in EAD applications, USCIS is approving EAD and AP applications separately — most often the I-765 EAD application will be approved first and an EAD card produced first, followed by the I-131 advance parole which is printed and mailed separately.

This is from USCIS website: Alert: To improve efficiency and reduce Form I-765 processing times for Form I-485 applicants, we may decouple Forms I-765 from Forms I-131 filed at the same time. Effective Feb. 1, 2022, when possible, USCIS will adjudicate the request for employment authorization first and, if it is approved, we will issue an Employment Authorization Document without any notation about advanced parole. We will adjudicate the Form I-131 separately and, if it is approved, we will issue an Advance Parole Document.
