does your vawa was approved? when? you should receive EAD based on approved VAWA

Keep calling uscis calling center, or request for for info pass. However: I had kind of same situation about my vawa approval update for almost 2 .5 months no any update,

@Omo Gee why didn't you appeal the the decision you had 33 days without an approval as proof really you have no point

call them directly.

they sent me a decision that my i765 was denied because I have been registered as a lawful permanent resident that I no longer needed an employment authorization card. unfortunately, no letter was sent as regards the i485 approval.

@Charlaprince princelachar I did call them but they said it neither showing approved or denial on their end but they sent me a letter that the i765 was denied because I have me approved for a legal permanent resident status

@survivor p my i765 was denied because USCIS sent me a letter that my i485 was approved unfortunately I didn't get a letter to that effect. it's also not updated on their system. whenever I call the call center they will tell me they don't see it approved or denied

@survivor p my EAD was denied because they approved the VAWA, unfortunately they didn't send a letter about it but they only mentioned it in the i765 decision

@survivor p that was the letter they sent in the i765 decision but I didn't get a letter of approval for the i485 I tried calling the USCIS they said they couldn't find the i485 approval in the system

@Omo Gee ok, so you can extend your drivers license. in this scenario I would just wait for green card. it should take max few months I wouldn’t appeal denial, bc you have valid EAD

@survivor p the i765 decision letter was dated July 25th, it didn't state if vawa was approved it only says in the letter that I have been approved for a legal permanent residence status

@Omo Gee ok, we didn’t understand each other. so your vawa was not approved yet. double check if you sent renewal request under C09 or C31. if C09 call USCIS and tell them that your 180 days extension expires in September and they will send you new letter with an 540 extension or they will make appointment at field office. if your petition for extension was under C31 that means you put wrong category

@Omo Gee I am not a lawyer, that’s your document. that’s not good idea to send documents to anyone. the main question is if your vawa was ever approved or not? if not, you can not have permanent residency, and an officer made mistake. you should call USCIS and ask or call/visit immigration lawyer for consultation

@survivor p USCIS says I have been approved legal permanent residence status in the i765 denial letter. so they won't be renewing my EAD

@Omo Gee . I understand you. call again. Another person will take the call. let them create a case number for you. You will get response faster that way

my i765 renewal I filed in December 2023 was denied in July 2024 reasons being I didn't have any pending i485.....which was crazy as my lawyer stated....June 2024 my medical was requested ....they received it July 2024 ..while my lawyer was getting ready to file the appeal ...my GC was approved....July 2024... in your denial did it speak about appeal?? you need to get a lawyer on this it seems to be gross USCIS error....

@Spice Islander my i765 renewal was denied and USCIS also sent me a decision letter stating it was denied because I have been approved for a legal permanent residence thats why my EAD was denied. They said if I think their decision was made in error that I should appeal. what do I do next?

@Omo Gee you need to appeal because you do not have a decision on your i485 as yet but they are stating that you have legal status....file an appeal ...an appeal will get it right ... your I765 is adjundicated at Nebraska and I more than sure that officer made an error ..... while your I485 goes to National Benefits Center or Field Office
