EAD “CASE TRANSFERRED AND NEW OFFICE HAS JURRISDICTION”
this update came today, after several developments.
I realized for people with cases similar to mine, the EAD is often not set for review until the interview for AOS is scheduled (likely in my case). BUT about a month ago, our congressman submitted an inquiry on our behalf for my EAD application to be expedited.
our AOS interview date is Oct. 31st
USCIS responded to congress with this
“As the I-485 case is pending within normal processing timeframes, there is no additional information for the field office to add at this time regarding the status of your constituent’s application. Should your constituent wish to contact the field office to request an expedite of this application, preferably via the Congressional Web Portal, documentation demonstrating that the expedite criteria have been met must be included at the time of the request.
The I-765 Application for Employment Authorization is also pending at the NBC within USCIS's current processing times. We have requested the I-765 to be routed for expedited processing. Once reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action. Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review. The strict enforcement of the expedite criteria means that all cases sent for expeditious handling are urgent, and we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as soon as possible."

May it go smooth from now on!

@shi bunz Hi, there is no connection between interviews being scheduled and the approval of the EAD. All 765 are decided at the NBC and not a field office. Your 485 is decided at a field office. My 765 took 7 months. I hope you get a decision soon. I had a lawyer do all my applications (immigration lawyer). My husband is also a lawyer (not immigration) and we have learned so much about the process.
The 765 and 131 only require biometrics and background checks to be completed and returned. There is nothing that indicates the speed at which you will be approved. Some people get approved quickly and others wait a long time even with expidite requests. Wish you the best.

@Kingsley B I guess the congress inquiry helped out a bit then! praying it won’t be nearly 267 + days! but also very hopeful about the fact that I have an interview for I485 next month ☺️

@Kingsley B unfortunately I cannot show you, but online the USCIS account shows the EAD case as “Case Trasferred to
Local Field Office” my i485 shows “Interview” and I of course got the interview notice

@shi bunz I hope that I am wrong in your case. Very interesting that it states transferred to field office online. Even when the 485 and 130 are transferred, it does not indicate it online. Perhoas the congress person did help and it was transferred. The field offices don’t deal with the EAD. I wanted to have mine expedited but I was not successful. Please post when you get approved. I don’t really comment much anymore unless I feel that I can be helpful in some way. It was so stressful waiting for the approval of my greencard. I hope I did not come across as a know it all.

My EAD still says under review even though I had my AOS interview three days ago which is now approved. I’m guessing they are giving out green card directly instead of EAD, then green card 🤷🏻♀️

@Kingsley B hopeful is the only way I can be! will post again once approved
