same thing happened to me last year. my lawyer put in for a replacement along with social security card. i only received social security card replacement but didn’t get EAD. i didn’t even get a receipt notice till date. the lost card expired in August and file for renewal 6 months before expiration. still didn’t get a receipt notice. now i can’t work, nor get a renewal for real id. I’m stuck in the middle. i called USCIS and all they keep saying was they didn’t get any application for my renewal. if anybody can help i would appreciate. thanks.

@jul 22 wow that’s crazy! how are you dealing with this? did you ask your lawyer also? I keep searching every inch of my house for my card in hopes I will find it. praying yours will hit the mail soon

@Alejandra Moros oh it doesn’t sound hopeful at all! I’m turning house upside down if need to just to try and find my card. Hope you get yours soon in the mail. this sure tests a lot of patience😩

@H E how many years do you currently have on the lost EAD? I’ll suggest you just stick to your current job and keep searching and hoping you’ll find it soon.

when you call USCIS they will tell you misplacement is still considered renewal to save your job because they really don't care
