there is a fee for renewal

if you have a pending I485, renewal is free. Did you attach a copy of your current EAD and the photocopy of your I485 notice when you sent your application? I included all that and a note saying I have a pending case with them, I got my 540 days extension about 4 weeks after I mailed them.

if they waived your package at the beggining,then you have to pay the fee for renewal. if they didn't waive it,then it's for free

really, I didn't pay for my renewal and also they did waive my first but on my receipt notice for renewal it says fees waive. please I need to know because my work permit will expire end of February too

You have to provide them with a copy of your pending I485 application, front and back copy of your EAD expiring in February 2024. If your current EAD is under C09, you have a pending I485 and you’re renewing under the same category C09, it’s free and fees will be waived.

I will just pay whatever they charge because I don’t want to stop working and if they are willing to waive, then they will return my money back! That’s what I will do

@Alexer George my lawyer played me like that as well 😥 he didn't mention that if uscis waives my fees for the package at the beggining that i will have to pay every renewal,so now every year i pay almost $1000 in fees to uscis

@F A I sent photocopy of everything you mentioned. Also they sent my packet to Vermont.VSC is stamped on the application pages in the corners

question, can I send my $410 now before they returned my papers for renewal

@Alexer George does the receipt notice have an extension date? and how long does it take to get a renewed work permit card itself? Mines expire September 2024
