EAD being made
After almost a decade stuck in states without anything or help. i got approved for asylum in December of 2021 and EAD card is being made after 5months since I mailed it. But I wish it was my childrens case reaching this state instead of mine as I am old now, there’s still hasn’t been updated Pass case received or biometrics and they’ve missed out on so much in life already 🥲

Based on an approved asylum application [(a)(5)]

When did you apply for asylum? and when were you approved?

@yiiixqiv While I filled the applications out in 2017. it was submitted in autumn of 2019. I got scammed and run around by 3 previous immigration lawyers and I had to submitt documents to try and get a lawyer to leave my case that refused (even though they wouldn’t show up to my court dates) which took two years. I got lucky when I visited a restaurant and guy there had a friend that was also from my country that was a immigration lawyer and she helped my family for free, otherwise I don’t think I would’ve gotten approved. Our final court date was put for December 8, 2021 and that’s when the judge granted us asylum. We were in removal proceedings since 2013 before that even though we were here legally and all this was my country’s government fault. Sorry my immigration has been long and depressing and today news is little hope i guess. I care more about my children getting what they need than anything at this point. I’m old and they can still achieve more in life than I can at this point.

Congratulations L C and it is really good news. So you applied defensively?
L
LM CAug 3, 2022
yes, it was in defense of our removal and all of it was read at the master court hearing. The judge told me I should’ve applied for an asylum one year after I was paroled in the U.S but in my defense I had no clue what that was and my country government told me I shouldn’t do anything because they were doing it (which was a lie)
