The final rule will be effective 13 January 2025. per the info on USCIS website, you’ll get the 540 days extension when you apply for the renewal of your EAD before it expires. Notes regarding 540 days extension will be included in your receipt notice. just give the receipt notice to your employer

When I applied for the EAD renewal, it was written in the letter that my category has 180 days extension and me employer accept.

thanks guys! i received the receipt today it says automatic for 540 days. Thanks God. my I485 is pending for 2.5 years now. done interview dec2023 up until now no update since. the agony of waiting.
