EAD approved after 13.5 months
I just wanted to get our here and share our experience to hopefully give those who are still waiting from 2022 some hope. You can see our timeline below. We filed my husband AOS in December 2022. It took 13.5 months just to get the EAD and it was a stand-alone approval. His I-131 was not denied nor approved. We did not receive any notification of the approval. the approval was found under the documents tab. We did submit an inquiry in November when it was past processing times but received the standard response that due to caseload factors his case was taking longer. Our attorney told us there was nothing that they could do to expedite it we had to continue to wait. We also reached out to our local congressman and never heard anything back. We just decided that we would wait it out. On Monday I noticed on the USCIS website under the I-485 tab that the date his RFE response was received had changed to Mondays date. I checked again yesterday and that is when I found the stand-alone approval for the I-765 under the documents section. Please share you experience with us if you are doing AOS how long after the EAD was approved you received an appointment for an interview or your interview was waived and you was approved for the I-485.

I filed mines on July 2022 received my EAD 6 months after and sense I haven’t received no update case says fingerprints have been added to the case but that’s about it it’s just depressing having to wait this long

@Nana J It is very frustrating and sometimes mentally exhausting. The system is very much broken. We were originally told by our attorney that it would only take 6 months for the EAD but it seems as if the cases from 2022 were put on the backburner. I have seen recently a few cases from 2022 being approved or scheduled for interviews so hopefully they will start working on 2022 cases again.

my pd is 12/19/2022
what was your RFE for?
Danielle Jan 24, 2024
@12/19/2022 marca The RFE was for the I-693 medical and birth certificate. Supposedly our attorney sent the birth certificate along with the certified translation with the original packet but it was requested again.

Thanks for sharing. I did it on the App "Inmigra USA" the community of Immigrants in the United States. inmigrausa.com
There are immigration lawyers and free collaborators.
Stay up to date on news of interest to the Latino community.
Search Inmigrate USA.
I chose the Florida community, it looks like they are starting now, so I recommend you choose Florida.
Busca inmigra USA el app del inmigrante, de verdad es muy buena tambien.
Thanks!!!
