EAD Approval
My EAD renewal had been pending since July 2024, and it was finally approved today. I was about to lose my job in two months because my auto-extension was about to expire—thanks be to God! I contacted my Congressman and provided a letter from my employer (employment verification) and evidence of my bills (lease, insurance, etc.). They requested an expedited review of my case based on financial hardship. Within a month, my EAD was approved. I pray that God’s favor and grace help everyone waiting for their EADs so they don’t lose their jobs and get approved as well.

I haven’t received it yet, they card has been mailed and I’m waiting for it, I know people are getting the 18months duration but I hope mine is gonna be 5 years.

congrats!!! remember i told you it was gonna get approved hopefully before your extension gets expired. did you do biometrics?

@OLORUNTOBILOBA ADEWUNMI, Yeah I remember you told me that, thank you for the encouragement, Contacting the congressman to expedite the case was the best decision, and no I didn’t do biometric, they reused my biometric they had on file.

@kim avra how long after your biometrics was reused you got approve? cus mine was also reused i only took a picture and signed, what catergory were you to be able to expedite your case and how did you go about contacting the congressman to expedite your case? thanks

@OLORUNTOBILOBA ADEWUNMI I applied in July 2024 and My biometric was reused in August 2024, My category was C09, I got a letter from my employer and contacted my congressman on thier website to assist me with expediting my case with USCIS
