Did you file I-765 concurrently when you sent your application to Vermont Service Center?(they said it was supposed to be processed faster that way) Or you filed a standalone I-765 to Nebraska after receiving a BFD notification from Vermont?

I submitted together to Nebraska and then got BFD front Vermont @thunder V

I have friends who are in the same path as yours, it seems this is a pretty new program,and i haven’t seen any approvals atleast in the case of I-765 C40 (BFD EAD). so far. They submitted theirs on Oct 2024 and they are still waiting for their ead. They called uscis and asked about the ead, agent said it could be ‘til April 2026 for the processing of their work permit. But fingers crossed, the most important part here is you received BFD and that’s a major step. Stay positive my friend ❤️

processing times are unpredictable, what you could do is probably get the certificate from ORR- Office of Refugee Resettlement and you could get some benefits from the govt. Some states like California provides CalFresh/ Snap-Ebt , even Health Insurance provided at no cost while waiting for your EAD. Check with your lawyer, and search online— benefits for Human Trafficking Victims in Nebraska, Vermont, or whichever state you’re in. God bless you, we’re all in this together 💪

Yes I agreee, there actually no way to know the exact timeframe since is very new. I didn’t know about that, I’m trying to finds jobs but is kinda complicated with my status. Sooner or later I’ll have to apply for that. For know patience and being positive are my company. Thanks for your help!
