EAD
Please help if possible,
Can I apply New EAD card based on pending I485( marriage base) and renewal Asylum based EAD card at the same time?
Is there any problem with applying for both EAD cards based on different categories at the same time.
my attorney mentioned, I can not apply both EAD same time.
does anyone face same problems?

I would listen to your lawyer to be honest. look at which one takes less time. EAD cases for 485 can be quick or painfully slow

I don’t think you can. I didn’t even know you can have 2 separate open cases at the same time. usually they ask to withdraw one or they will leave second one on hold until they respond to the first one. They behind on all cases but I think marriage will go fast than asylum.

yes you can, my friend got both his cards based on Marriage and asylum renewal at the same time. if you don’t apply for renewal based on asylum, you will be working illegally till when they approve that based on marriage.

my advice is, first apply for renewal based on asylum so that you continue working legally, then after like a week apply for marriage
