@Ryan Wilson have you got any confirm that it’s a USCIS error?

I recently received an update on my wife's EAD case, and it has been changed to "Case Was Reopened For Reconsideration." This has left us feeling confused and concerned about the next steps in the process.

my case had that status and now have Case was reopened and that was 24 hours ago

my case reopened and then changed to case closed again! I don't know what the heck is going on

@Tafi Fita in other words, they are still experiencing technical issues. Hope all those issues are done we all receive a real card being produced 🙏

I am concerned because my wife's case changed from "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means" to "Case Was Reopened for Consideration" which had been the pattern until now. However, her EAD case has now changed back to "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means." I don't understand what is happening and I wonder if others are experiencing the same situation

@Tafi Fita I read your message and so checked my status, my case was closed again as well! I think I have had about 4 different situations since Friday. definitely technical issues. The problem is if, in the middle of all those changes, we get approval we don't know if we can trust.

I like to think this is happening because they are working on our cases, and at the end of this mess, we all will get approved 🙏

I am concerned about the resumption of normal or safe operations by USCIS regarding our case. Is there a way to request an expedite track due to a clear error by USCIS? I worry that these cases may be considered as suspected and result in longer processing times than usual.

@Ryan Wilson when this happened first time I contacted through Emma to a live agent and he opened a query for my case.. today morning they sent me an email that it was USCIS technical issue and my case is reopened again.. which was true at that time.. now late in the afternoon it went to closed again! I am not sure what else I can do at this moment! let me know if you find a way around!

@Ryan Wilson I honestly think it was technical issue. from checks I did, it happened to huge number of people, Also for me and my family they have corrected that after about 8 hrs. understand your concern, but I think only lawyer can suggest if something needs to be done in a specific case.

@Tafi Fita Yes, My wife's EAD was approved a few hours ago. The status changed from "Reopened" to "New Card is being produced." This is good news for us, as the previous two statuses were very stressful. We hope this will be a permanent status.
