you don’t need to file any form before your interview,just go with your documents. that form is send to you via email after the interview if they need more information.

just walk with your interview notice and ID, I just did my interview 30mins ago it was very easy and comfortable. It’s like talking to a friend about your life. the questions you answered on your application will be asked to you again about arrest history etc , as long as your marriage is real you will be fine, Good luck.

@omar the officer asked for it, I gave it to him with a copy which he kept and returned my passport, so read your interview notice carefully it states to walk with the travel document used to enter the U.S so your passport.

no they didn’t ask for it. and she got her visa approved. everything was smooth. if you’re having an interview soon. please bring all your original documents. proofs such as photos text screen shots, money transfer all the of those need to be showing when they ask you for it. if you have someone else sponsoring you during the interview make sure you have their papers ready. good luck everyone @Sky Walker1

if the embassy sent you the ds5535 along with interview letters, why would you not fill it? if they didn’t send you, dont bother. but if they did, you have to fill it out. that form if you research it, it is one of the forms Trump implemented into the immigration during his presidency and unfortunately it has been required since by a bunch of embassies. my wife received that form alomg with interview letter, we filled it out and also uploaded it in NVC. she got the visa in one day. i have seen people that have been put into administrative processing due to that form. as far as questions, google “frequently asked spouse interview questions”.

yes you do my wife interview was today and got sent back for administrative processing because of form ds5535 that wasnt even metion on the checklist so fill it out before interview

u don’t fill out the ds5535 before interview unless told to do so even if u file it out before and the ask for it the will make u redo it at the time of interview
