Driving license
hey there- if you have received a working authorization- is that enough for you get a driving license ? please don’t Tell me SSN is enough bla bla. i have a driving license from another state (where my college is located) but I’d like to have an updated DL with the address I live with my husband at (& the work permit is addressed to)

I dont need my greencard for it? because I’m conflicted. school tells me I’ve to hold on to international student requirements until I get my greencard.

perfect. I might ask while I’m here :D my cousin is taking a Road Test now (she’s is an au pair and needs one) and of course the DMV is not the most friendliest office either. don’t know what’s wrong

oh percent SM. please let me know. are you able to pay future tuition as a in state or still as international ? my college is not giving me much info but „you’ve to hold on to your status“

I dropped my status as an F1 and took a year off. I am going back to school this year and have asked my school if I can pay in tuition fees since I have lived in the state for few years and no longer hold the status of an F1. they granted my request and now I am paying in state fees :)

holding on to your status is safe if you can afford it in case they deny your AOS application. I couldn’t afford it and was pregnant so I dropped it.

oh I did not want to drop because I only have until this fall left for it. can I afford it? not really - but I cannot change it anymore. but I’m glad it worked. for you! have you heard anything about your AoS?

amazing ! same. i already had one degree as a dental hygienist. but going now a complete different route. good luck and keep us posted if your AoS changes !

yea. I actually just found that silly pdf of the dmv & will do that. but I’ve to fulfill category A/B/C with one document each and D with two (which is fine) but category C asks for a lot of in state stuff and I am out of state … so I hope they will not be like NO NOT TODAY haha
