Driving license and SSN
My work permit got approved yesterday but AOS is still pending. I already have my driving license and SSN from my current employer (i have an R-1 visa) if I quit and accept a new job, do I need to apply for a new SSN? also, what happens with the driving license? I will no longer have a valid Visa, only pending status for marriage GC.

you don’t need a new social security number for a new job.As long as your driver license is valid you are fine

Your DL and SSN are yours. Your employer can’t take or cancel them. If you get a new job you’ll keep them. Now that you have a work permit, you can use it to get a job and renew your DL if it expires. Your SSN will stay the same for the rest of your life unless you change your legal name.

Thank you! So do I need to do anything with my current SSN? update something? or as soon as I get my Work permit card, I can just get a new job and use the same SSN?

SSNs aren’t linked to jobs, you don’t need to get a new one each job it La your own personal number
