@H J get your new medical (the sealed package) and wait for an update. you’d either get an interview scheduled (like me) for which you’d bring the sealed package to the interview, OR get an rfe then send the sealed package to the address they provide in the rfe. I wouldn’t just send it without notice because it might get lost. for example I sent the package to my local field office so it’s better to wait for instruction. But it had been so long that I completely forgot my medical was expired and I freaked out the day before the interview.
