Does uscis ask for additional evidence if you missing one
Good morning community, I sent my rfe with everything except my federal tax transcript of 2020 because the irs is taking so long and it's going to a whole year since then and calling them don't even help . My question is does uscis going to ask for additional evidence or they going to proceed

if you write an explanation letter telling them that you have tried and includes paystubs, they are going to proceed

If they can't make a decision on your case with the evidence you've already submitted, then yes they can and will send a RFE(request for initial evidence)

They ask for initial evidence if you are missing something fundamental. They ask for additional evidence when what you sent isn’t enough. Hope this helps

Submit evidence that you are the beneficiary or derivative beneficiary of an approved immigrant visa petition (such as a Notice of Approval Letter, Consulate Letter, or National Visa Center Letter), or show that you are otherwise eligible to file for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident (such as under the Cuban Adjustment Act).

Anonymous user ~ This happened to me. I didn’t have enough evidence that my husband & I shared a residence. I spoke to an agent at FPL (Florida’s electrical company) & they said my name was on the account, but my name will never appear on any bills as my name was added after the account was opened. I wrote a letter explaining all of this to USCIS & I did one better……I got it notarized. They accepted it & now I have an approval on my case. Good luck.
