ok good to know @ T O. Are you able to say how soon after you got the actual notice or it was updated on your account?

I got an email that action was taken on my account then I signed into my account and saw that they sent a rfe. The details of the evidence they required were only in the mail they sent me, not my online account. After the evidence was submitted, about 2 weeks I got an update on my status that the evidence was received.

I recently got my ead approval and still waiting on my interview to be scheduled

y k - I'm not sure how the FBI runs those, and how deep they go. all I know is that background checks do take some time, and the deeper the search, the longer it will take. that's for one individual. imagine that on a bigger scale with all the cases that USCIS processes together. also, it is worth noting that when your background check is ran, if something needs to be verified or more explanation is needed, then more people become involved, which adds time to your background check. for instance, let's say you had a traffic violation and you were charged with DUI, then those charges are dropped. even though the charges were dropped, they may still come up in your background check. whoever is running that background check may want to know why the charges were dropped and/or what happened for them to appear in the first place, and so on. for that, they're gonna reach out to the jurisdiction that treated that case and will move on when they're satisfied. all this adds to the time it takes to run your background check. the more things that come up, the more people involved, and the longer the background check. 🙂

@y k unfortunately no updates as yet. I did call yesterday and tried checking on the status of my expedite request but I was just told that there was no response as yet neither has the request been assigned to an officer and that I would be contacted within 7days. I also contacted my congressman's office and asked them to put in a request for me as well. So, right now I'm just praying for the best.

I lost a job..ead expired and now will loose second offer too

I think the fact that you have an expired EAD gives you a pretty good chance.

No, not yet. I called my congressman's office and they said they requested the expedite so I guess all we can do is just wait. Anything good on your end?
