I applied for renewal in Jan 2021 and got my extension for 180 days 2 months ago, but still waiting for EAD renewal, my 180 days will finish in the middle of March. mY case in Vermont too

My EAD Expired in the middle of September I got my extension in the beginning of December but only 3 months left in December because paper showed my extension date started in September too , arrived late. But No EAD yet.

the 180 days start when your old card expires and you can proof that you applied for an extension (you need the receipt).

The fastest way to expedite is through congressman. (Even that takes long but that is another story) Case being out of processing times is one of the reasons that they accept the expedite request. (My application was also out of processing times, I reached out to my congressman, they reached out to USCIS. USCIS accepted my expedite request)

If so, your lawyer can send an email to

But, USCIS did not reply to my lawyer's email. The most effective way is to reach via congressman because I think USCIS is kind of obliged to reply and act upon to the congressman's requests.

it was 3 months back uscis replayed they are corrently trying to finish the back log until october 2020.now i just mailed my congress man to check again

Same here. It has been 15 months since I applied to renew my EAD. They approved my expedite request 1 month ago. They are still working on it. Unbelievable
