I would listen to your lawyer and take his advice. There’s always a chance they might not let you back in.

I’ve used my advance parole several times with no problem or delay, they just asked for that document, but now under the new administration is recommended not to use it. good luck!

i used mine once in August and it was easy. brought my Canadian passport and my 131 and that was it. it was extremely quick. I think the chances of getting denied re entry when you have the permit is incredibly slim. don’t live in fear :) good luck @Marcos Roy

Dont risk it. Even if you get the travel document it is always at the discretion of the immigration at port of entry to let you in. Its a toss up.
