how many months did it take to be DQ?

@shiba bam I-130 approval 1/5/2022, NVC received 1/8/2022, NVC accepted all documents 4/6/2022 and requested an explanation, explanation given 4/7/2022, DQ 6/18/2022 @Jay papi that is crazy. I’ve seen others DQ’d later than that and now about to interview in July. Have you sent inquiry to NVC or called them?

As I continue to research👩🏽‍💻, I am finding that those who filed under the former presidential administration is still waiting, while quite a bit of those who filed under the Biden administration is moving forward⏩. Thousands of people made application during the travel ✈️ ban period in hopes of being “in front of the line” when the travel ban ended. The travel ban was not for Covid 😷alone and it did not end 🔚 until Biden got into office. But it was not just a travel ban put into place. The former president tried to end immigration from select countries into the US. If you are one of those countries, then it appears you are waiting for a while. I ask that you research to know the root cause of things to prevent further anxiety. Immigration is stressful, but this is beyond normal stress at this point. Instead of waiting to see your love ones here in America, start traveling back to them when possible, until they come. Love knows no boundaries. When you love, you will find ways to get things done, in spite of the surrounding circumstances. What I’ve written is clearly my opnion, but it is what helps me sleep at night and get through this wait period. I hope this helps. Be encouraged🌈.

Hello Everyone. I hope you all have received some type of movement on your cases since last check in. As for me……still waiting. I hit day 75 since DQ June 18, 2022. I have seen several people DQ after me and already received interview letters for same category. NVC is not taking outside calls right now, and I have already sent an inquiry (even though NVC requests that we not inquire until 90 days have passed. Thanks and Best Wishes!

@Amina Aminu. My husband has been DQ since June 18, 2022. we are still waiting for an IL. As I know, Lagos is behind by 15 months and are still sending IL for those DQ around Sept 2021. Then some of those applications recent DQ have also received IL and gained their Visa Approvals. It is just a waiting game.

Hi Shamondy, I stumbled across this form, and so I thought I would ask as well. Since I was DQ (Documentarily Qualified) back on July 2, 2022...I can see yours is longer than mine. So I was wondering how accurate the information you obtained where it indicted that they were still working on the DQ's from September 2021... if they is the case, then those approved in 2022 will not get an interview till 2024... Is this what you are estimating? I have a Senator's Office looking into the matter for me, because I don't understand how they can have an estimate for non-immigrant visas, but for Immigrant Visas, there's no information. Any additional thoughts on how to determine the duration of the wait? I know you wouldn't know, but you might have some insights. I'm referring to the US Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria as well.

I was just about to ask the same thing about how accurate the information is.. also when you said some recently DQ’s have also received their interview letters. Does that mean they’re not following it in order? This is just really ridiculous! I’m really hoping the fact they’re just now sending interview letters to those DQ’d in 2021 is not the case but then again anything is possible. Please whatever you guys find keep us updated.
