I am in the same boat as you. Quite interested to see the answers from others on this one. I have sent 824 in early May ‘22. No updates, yet. I have seen other user in this community who has received the approval on 824 for same purpose(I-130 follow up). I have yet to see anyone who got their I-130 auto sent to NVC despite mention of retention.

It was mentioned applicant’s signature but I’m petitioner and I signed on behalf of my wife 😄

@jerry It was sent to NBC. my receipt number indicates it’s at MSC and numbers. It is still pending, but was submitted early May

I got my i130 approved but uscis retained it because I made a mistake by selecting AOS and consulate processing. They asked me to file in the i824 of which I did since on 06/07/2022. I received an email from an Uscis officer on September the 1st that my case has been sent to NVC. I checked the i824, it is still pending. My uscis online account case status has not changed. My question is — is my case really sent to NVC or is just a mistakenly sent email? Anyone in this kind of situation?

@Kevin, I had similar situation. I did inquiry via uscis online account message box. Uscis officer responded stating my case was sent to NVC but I didn’t get any case status. I called USCIS multiple times and one of the representatives mentioned this could be copy pasted email response from the officer. This is so annoying. They’re providing us fake information. :(

@jerry, some folks are receiving I-824 approval after couples of days from I-130 sent to NVC. When was your I-130 approved? Did you already receive welcome letter from NVC?

Guys call USCIS and insist your case should be sent to NVC if you make a mistake. My i824 still pending but I had to call them and insist my case sent to NVC and today it was sent!!!! I can’t afford to wait another 18 to 25 months for i824 to be approved. Don’t wait for i824 unless you wanna wait another long wait

@Kelvin, I called them multiple times and requested them to send my petition to NVC. The representatives are so cruel, they don’t understand our pain. I expedited twice and got denied. What did you say with them so that they’re convinced? Also when did you get your case forwarded to NVC notification? Thanks for sharing this with us.

i got it today. i just become a usc on august 27. I believe that’s what’s helped. the wait time for this i824 would have been too much on me damn!!!
