do we need to update the I864 affidavit or support in the interview day?
hello we submitted all documents last year (I864 my husband’s affidavit of support and the taxes and paystubs ) however for our interview they ask to bring documents and it says bring I864 in case it wasn’t submitted. however things have changed and he got a new job ( better pay than before) but are we supposed to bring an update form to our appointment? or it’s not necessary?

i think you should. also, you can include an employment verification letter along with recent paystubs as proof of new job.

if your case got that far, that means what your husband was making is sufficient but if the interview notice said to bring that form then do it.

thank you. the interview notice says “ bring form 864 IF it wasn’t submitted before but we did submit it. however he changed his employment. so that’s why I was asking

my husband who is the US citizen changed jobs too since we filled. when we went for the interview, we took along a nautirized letter from his new boss stating when he started the job and at what capacity. we also took along his pay stubs and we were approved the next day
