Do senators/representatives actually help and can they?
A local professor in my team, and my former advisor, wrote to the Ohio Senator on my behalf. Has anyone in this group tried any such channel and does it help?

congressman do but not senators. May be you can wait and see but I would suggest reachout to congressman as well.
Senators are state agency and they have limited jurisdiction over federal immigration matters.
when I reach out to couple of senators they all directed me to congressman and then congressman sent a letter to USCIS.

USCIS seems to go back to adjudicate 2023 Oct/Nov/Dec cases. I filed in Dec 2023. I just got approved last Monday, and got my card yesterday. Once they clean up Oct/Nov/Dec 2023 cases a little bit, yours should be on the way.

was your case sent to a local fo?
Jim HSUDec 5, 2024
@yes greened mine? I don’t know. whenever I asked, Emma always says processed normally at NBC…. The last time I checked is Nov 1, 2024( why I remember the exact date? fuxing Emma submitted inquiry for me…) I never checked after Nov 1. Probably it went to FO. I just don’t know. No RFE and No interview. Straight from fingerprint to approval… Not sure why USCIS kept my case for that long.
