Do naturalization cases take longer to precess when there is a name change involved?
so i filed my N400 and in it i did a name change, had my biometric on January 7th this year but till today making my case almost 8 months i havnt gotten an interview date yet, is it because i did a name change why it is taking too long to get processed???

Thank you all for the comments,I now understand it is the normal routine for USCIS to keep people waiting.

what i understood is that name change only means you have to do your oath taking with a judge and not their usual process. meaning it only delays time from interview to oath but not the time it takes to schedule you for interview

yes it does because it’s done in court
