do i need to send i-485?
hi everyone! i am 18 years old and i am from Kyrgyzstan. my dad is a permanent resident of the US.
now i am in the US with F-1 (student visa) for the next 3 years
i send my i-130 application on november 7, 2023 and it's being actively reviewed since december 13,2023. do i need to send i-485 before getting i-130 approved? my date is also not current yet
what is the approximate time to get i-130 approved? can i send i-485 and i-765?

you can't apply for I-485 before your priority date is current. once you apply for I-485 you can file I-765 concurrent

and also if my date becomes current before i-130 is approved, can i still apply?

priority date isn't dependent on the approval of I-130. priority date is based upon the date of filing, sometimes it becomes available before I-130 is approved and sometimes afterwards

do not only check for priority date if you’re in the US, you can file 485,765 and 131 concurrent if your filling date is current.
filling date for July is November 1,2023 . if you’ve filled i130 before November 1 YES you can file 485 .

@green buzz I don’t think you are advising correctly. You CAN’T file I-485 without I-130 being approved first regardless what current date is.
