Do dependent applicants need to file i485j when switching jobs?

Hi, My i-485 was filed as a derivative applicant to my spouses Employment based i-485 application by his employer. I switched jobs however did not file for i-485j as I was derivative and the application was tied to my spouses i-140. I wanted to check if there is a need for dependent applicants to file i-485j when the AOS is pending for less than 180 days for switching jobs. Please advise
