DNA test
Good morning. I am currently waiting for the results of my application to remove the condition from my green card. Meanwhile, my wife is sponsoring my 13 year old son in Jamaica. It's been 11 months, and we recently received a letter requesting additional evidence to prove that I am his father. This is because my name was added to his birth certificate two years ago. One of the options provided is a DNA test, which is marked as optional. Does anyone know if I need to travel to Jamaica for this DNA test? If not, how should I proceed?

I had similar experience. First, Providing DNA testing from an AABB accredited Laboratory and a notarized letter of explanation are important pieces of evidence to support your claim.
In addition to that, it would be helpful to gather any early records or documentation that show your involvement in your son's life. This could include medical records, school records, or any other official documents that demonstrate your role as a parent.
Furthermore, including photos of you and your son together can also be compelling evidence to showcase the bond and relationship you have with him.
By providing these documents and photos, you will be able to present a strong case and demonstrate your commitment and involvement in your son's life.
I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let me know.

@OR Thank you for your answer, but do you know if I would need to go to Jamaica for the DNA test, or would we send DNA samples to the lab while in different countries. That is the part I am confused about.
