divorce
I was married to a green card holder, and then he became a, citizen when we were married. I applied for Vawa on July 2022; on January 2023, he signed the divorce, and the judge gave him shared physical and legal custody and to paid child support. Would this cause me any issues because he was mental abuse to me but not our baby? And by the judge gave him shared custody also the baby lives with me

No it won’t. they will only determine based off whatever evidence you submitted that the abuse is on..

@Kenny Kenny Oh, thank god, my lawyer scared me, saying I needed to get a restraining order on him and fight for full custody when we agreed on shared custody. I don’t want to do the restraining order. I don’t want my daughter to hate me; she loved her dad so much, and he good to her; he was just fucking toxic and horrible to me but not the baby, and even though we don’t have communication at all, everything go through my brother and the baby she 5 years old she has her tablet and phone, and they talk though there anything she wants she asked him if there an adult thing he talks to my brother, and he told me

@amor amor They know you might be in a helpless situation that’s why VAWA is set aside so don’t worry about whatever he got on the divorce in as much as it’s finalized you don’t have to worry it doesn’t affect your case at all
