Divorce before removal of conditions
what are your options if your partner (US citizen ) decides to divorce you before your two year removal of conditions. what’s next for you? anyone in this situation, what did you? and how’s the processing time and steps like. anything is appreciated at this point. thank you.

@Rocco Forté thank you. I got my GC Jan this year and we have separated in April. divorce is yet to be filed. what do you think are my chances if I file to remove conditions with a waiver and also what documents should I keep. I’m hoping she starts the divorce soon since she’s stalling for God knows why.

huuummm... just be careful of what u doing. just 4 months has passed between your GC and your Separation. They can think of Fraud. You can apply for Removal of Conditions without the help of your US Spouse with a waiver but it's too soon now. Try to manage your spouse at least 8 months after your GC.

@BAYANO PARKER she is the one asking for the divorce and not me based on “no-fault, not compatible”. Only thing I can do from my end is delay the signing of the divorce papers if I’m served. aside that I’m just at her mercy at this point

@Hey hey Sorry about your situation. Your case is approvable. You just have to file an extremely strong case and be ready to talk about everything that happened. Four months after is suspicious but if your marriage was in good faith then you should be able to file a very strong case. Also make sure you take a lawyer to your interview if you are ever called for one.
