May be you will get direct 485 approval. did you try reaching uscis through senator or congress

but there are people with 6 month appart

@billo v I did try going through congressman recently and got a standard response from USCIS that case is still within normal processing time and I485 is with local field office.

ı filed my 485 on 21 June and ı could not take receipt number yet.

@del Kh Can you share how you got to know your case got transffered to local FO. Did the case status change or Did they Sent notice?

@S K they don't update transfer to field office on case status or send any notice. I found this by chatting with Emma Live agent. also the inquiry response that the congressman got from USCIS stated the case is with Long Island Field office. it's not my local field office.

@Alice A. I sent my petition to Dallas Lock box on May 8th, then received text on June 27th. then received physical mail on July 5th. it took 52 days for me to get receipt number generated. So dont worry you will get it. I know how stressfull that will be since I was in same situation few days back.

@Alice A. yeah this USCIS thing itself is stressfull. My biometrics schduled on July 23rd. That too I got to know via Emma chat. they said they mailed Biometrics notice on July 5th. as of today not received physical notice yet. Case status still shows as “Received”

@S K @del Kh I tried reaching out through EMMA, agent told me case got transferred to new york field office (not my local FO) and then left, I tried connecting again in 5 minutes, different agent told me it is at NBC. so confused with conflicting information.

@m s they did the same to me ...I checked with 4-5 agents to confirm and most of them confirmed field office transfer. I asked them "can you confirm when my case was transferred to field office?"

@Alice A. Elgin is little faster than dallas. I see lot of people are getting receipt in about 4 weeks. so you shoukd receive it within next 1-2 weeks.

@Alice A. In order for me to walk in for Biometrics. atleast I will need to have physical mail which I do not have it. nor I do not have online access since it is MSC receipt number.

normally, they told me Eb1-A applications result within 3-4 months. it is average @S K

@del Kh thank you and surely you all will get soon. yes, i got text at 9:40 am saying there has been an update on the case. I updated my profile here to all cases. I did get approved for AP last week, EAD in March.

@m s that's interesting. I never get text msgs..anything I should activate in my USCIS online account? it does have my cell number and email on it.

@del Kh so you only get text when status changes. I used this link, and had it checked for email and text alerts for changes to the case - https://egov.uscis.gov/login

@Alice A.fyi - I was able to reschdule my appointment from July 23rd to July 15th and download fresh notice from my online account even with MSC receipt number.
