Dependant Green Card
Hi All,
On September 15 the primary of our case (EB1-C) was approved (then again on the 20). His card has already been mailed. However, his process was in San diego Field office while mine (daughter and dependant) was all the way in Chicago for some reason. My case is still showing Case Transferred and a New Office has Jurisdiction since November 10 2022. Our priority date is current. Talked to Emma and she said my case just got transferred again to San Diego Field Office, same one my dads application was and got approved.
Does anyone know if this is a good sign? Is it likely my green card will be approved soon or it might be a really long wait? I just dont understand why USCIS processes our cases in different times since i’m a dependant but anyways, if anyone had a similar experience please share :) if there’s anything i could do maybe open an inquiry? Please let me know

following this post. My wife’s GC got approved today (EB2) but mine (dependent) is still in processing. our attorney said nothing to worry about and my case would get updated in few weeks. Hopefully you will get your GC soon.
How do you ask Emma?

hi i asked to talk to a live agent, then opted for case status then i asked the agent about my case where it was and gave her/him
my receipt number and then after they answered i gave my dads receipt and told them he was the primary applicant and was already approved. it wasn’t very helpful tho if i’m being honest w u

@issbella m Do you guys live in San Diego? Does uscis send the file to field office nearby before decision . just trying to see cause my file just moved to Dallas Field Office

no we don’t and we don’t even live nearby. no idea why they sent it there but it was the office my dad got approval and his card has been mailed already. After his card was made they changed my office from Chicago to San Diego so i was wondering if this might be a good sign maybe (?) idk
