DELAYED GREENCARD & NO EAD
Hi everyone, I really need advice on what to do, About a year ago I was granted Asylum here in the U.S and I was told I do not need to renew my Employment authorization card by USCIS so with that notion and waiting for my GREENCARD, my EAD that I used at work was still active and now it’s expired and my GREENCARD has not still arrive it’s been more than a year. My employer keeps insisting that I present a document to keep my Job or they will let me go, I have shown them the message from USCIS of my processing GREENCARD and the notification that I do not have to renew my work authorization document but they will not accept that, please what can I do any advice will help. Thanks so much🙏🙏

USCIS has established a policy allowing for expedited processing under certain conditions, such as in cases of severe financial loss affecting an individual or company. If you are facing potential job loss and financial hardship, you may be eligible to expedite the process through your congressperson. It is advisable to obtain a letter from your employer to include with your expedite request for evidentiary purposes. However, it is recommended to seek guidance from a legal professional before taking any further steps.

I am asylee an all i used to reverify was my social security card and my drivers license. However, given that green card can take up to 2yrs you shouldve renewed your EAD just to avoid the hassle. Though you cannot use asylee decisión from a judge. Additionally, you can use Form I-94 and your ID as it does not expire or require reverification. your employer HR Department should’ve have updated knowledge on USCIS Handbook for Employers M-274 or they are just idiots

you don’t have to worry at all just show them the asylum card which has indefinite stamp on it it’s the same card you get after your asylum case is approved my wife works in a bank and they happily accepted that card it works as an Ead till the time you don’t get your actual GC

The issue here is that a lot of employers and government institutions don’t know or understand the A05 category. I have a lot of issues as well, so as soon DMV did not accepted my Asylum approval letter , I filed my I-765 to avoid issues with my employer or any other institution and was a wise moved I made. I know EAD is taking a month to process but when did you apply for your green card ?

I applied for Asylum EAD on January 9-2025 and on January 10-2025 I got a receipt notice that they received my EAD application now so it’s been a month how long will it take to get my EAD card?
