hi I got bio appointment for Sep 1, 2021
rn rdAug 18, 2021
congratulations! when did you receive the notification? did the status change online?
h hAug 18, 2021
thanks, no the notification didn’t change online, but I got it in the mail on august 13
rn rdAug 19, 2021
thanks for your responses. did you submit any expedite request? I’m contemplating doing that if I don’t hear from them in another month.
h hAug 19, 2021
hi, no I didn’t submit any Expedite request. I read some people submit expedite request for their EAD card and that triggers biometrics appointment. check Reddit r/USCIS
rn rdAug 19, 2021
will do! thanks buddy.
rn rdSep 18, 2021
I received biometric apt. how long after the biometric did you receive your EAD? did you expedite it?
h hSep 18, 2021
hi I haven’t received any EAD yet or interview, however my case (i485) is ready to scheduled for interview (1.5 days after biometrics)
rn rdSep 18, 2021
do you plan to expedite your EAD? I plan to do that as soon as I’m done with my bio apt
h hSep 18, 2021
I am seeing on Reddit that people are receiving EAD cards with PD jan 15, 2021 so I think I might receive it in a few weeks. I will post an update here, that’s why I am not expediting. but you should definitely expidite because lots of people are getting their EAD’s earlier
rn rdSep 28, 2021
did they schedule your interview?
h hSep 28, 2021
no not yet, it’s been 25 days as of now. I believe they are prioritizing employment based applications till Sep 30. they cancelled some family based interviews in order to process employement based applicants so I guess there is queue.
rn rdSep 28, 2021
makes sense. thanks for your response. just an FYI - I received my EAD after reaching out to the local congressman. in case you need more info re that, let me know.
rn rdOct 15, 2021
@h h — any word on interview appointment?
h hOct 15, 2021
hi @rn rd no news yet - it’s been 42 days since case is ready for interview - I am thinking i might get interview scheduled around the 60 day mark. I’ve seen some Dallas timelines where it takes 60 days
h hOct 15, 2021
I did get my EAD though - approved Sep 29
rn rdOct 15, 2021
gotcha. good luck! keep us posted here if you can :)
rn rdNov 17, 2021
just checking in because our matters have been running in parallel — did you receive your interview date yet? mine says “ready for interview” since September 27.
h hNov 17, 2021
hi @rn rd no I haven’t received my interview date yet. my case has been ready to be scheduled for interview since Sep 3rd. Also, my combo card was approved Sep 29 and I received that.
rn rdNov 17, 2021
gotcha. I expedited my combo card and it worked. I received both during the last week of September.
hoping to receive interview date soon.
rn rdDec 15, 2021
doing my monthly check lol. receive your interview date yet?
h hDec 15, 2021
@rn rd lol 😆 I finally got the interview scheduled update dec 8th 🥳 and interview date is Jan 12th
rn rdDec 15, 2021
🔥🥳🥳🥳 congratulations buddy. hope to receive mine soon. good luck.
will message if / when I receive mine and will check on yours on Jan 12! cheers.
h hDec 15, 2021
someone else at Dallas got interview date as well recently - search Dallas in this app and click the post by the user @aseret, that person shared their timeline too
h hDec 15, 2021
thanks 🙏 I hope you get your interview date soon - it seems Dallas takes 11 months to get interview date after filing - I’ve noticed this with other timelines, however, sometimes people get green card within 5-6 months but I believe generally it takes 11 months
rn rdDec 15, 2021
is it based on filing date or biometric datw? I thought it was based on biometric date.
h hDec 15, 2021
hmm it’s very weird to be honest some people get interview scheduled a day or two after biometrics I’ve seen that with some peope’s timelines - others wait months to get interview scheduled - I waited 96 days to get interview scheduled. so I have no idea how they processes the cases and schedule.
rn rdDec 23, 2021
“interview scheduled”
just received an update.
h hDec 23, 2021
congrats 🥳 😃🎉 good luck in your interview!
rn rdJan 12, 2022
good luck for tomorrow. hope it goes well and feel free to share how it went :) cheers!
h hJan 12, 2022
@rn rd thank you so much Finished interview an hour ago - just came home and saw case was approved status 🥳🥳 interviewer was very friendly and interview lasted 10 mins
rn rdJan 12, 2022
that’s amazing. congratulations buddy. celebrate with your better half.
I have mine on Jan 27.
any observation you’d wanna share?
hope that it goes smoothly. cheers.
h hJan 12, 2022
@rn rd I went with lots of evidence and plenty of other documents but she just asked for my id and passport and medical form that’s all but I had I-130 approved beforehand so maybe that’s why.
other than that I think it’s important to remain calm and be smiling and not be very nervous and at the same time being confident (because you are following the law and doing everything legally so what is there to worry about) also it’s important to know basic dates like birthdays, marriage anniversary, first met or talked, place of birth etc (these basic details people sometimes mess up and I think it might cause some suspicion or something)
rn rdMar 2, 2022
@hh. my interview was rescheduled to yesterday and it finally happened — the officer approved us on the spot. my status changed to “interview was completed and my case must be reviewed.” what was your experience after the interview and when did you receive your card.. :) I’m not worried about this status; I am trying to understand by when the actual card will be issued.
rn rdMar 2, 2022
the interviewer did say that we will get the card within 30 days. she did mention being backlogged. so may be that’s it and I’m being paranoid for no reason.
