been waiting for 2 years and 4 months for my interview in El Salvador same category 😴

Hi, our case is going through Dakar too. I know the NVC takes about 3 months then there’s a huge backlog in Dakar since they’re servicing for Gambia, Mali and Guinea as well. However, 8 months is wild! have you tried contacting the NVC instead of the consulate? or getting a lawyer? it might help push your case. Alternatively you could contact your house rep.

9 months + and still waiting 😓 Don't really understand why all this. 😕

@Ji Tee The response I received was from NVC via Public Inquiry. NVC approved our case in a week. We didn't have a long wait there. The wait is because of Embassy scheduling. I was just wondering if other applicants were receiving IL because I haven't seen any recent updates posted on the app. I may reach out to a representative like you suggested. @Asanatou Jallow @Ebs N all I know is Dakar is very slow right now they gave Interview letter for those who DQ at end of August 2023 and since 2 months no IL for CR/IR category we have a WhatsApp group for Dakar embassy

@DioM D Thanks for your post and update. I know they are processing I-129 applicants relatively fast. I saw a few applicants that DQ'd- after me get an interview date from the portal. I wish we could schedule our own interviews.

@Asanatou Jallow yes you right but slyly should know that k1 is a non immigrant visa that’s why and once in USA they get married in 90 days and send their 130 and I485 for adjustment of status that’s a new process and for IR/CR once in the US your life start so the wait is worth it lol

@Ebs N @DioM D I received a letter from my Senator who reached out to NVC on my behalf and the response was as of July 2024 they are currently scheduling interviews at the Embassy in Dakar for those applicants who were dq Sept 2023 and before.

Hey @Maximus Spaniard Wow that’s absolutely crazy.. it does not make any sense we are really suffering from this… it’s been a hell of a ride I don’t know what is so hard about giving out interviews mean while a tourist visa only takes less than a month 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hi Chirba D, mine changed to ready then administrative processing on same day, then changed to issued two days later. Got an email that my passport was ready a week later.

January 29, 2025. When was yours? What did the CO tell you? For me, I was informed that it will be ready within few days.

The good news is that she was verbally approved and her passport kept. She will eventually be Issued. Please check on Reddit for people with similar experience. Also, let her check her inbox/junk to ensure she didn’t receive any mail from the embassy after the interview. Best wishes.

@Ebs N The visa was finally issued on March 3rd, for some reasons I don’t know what took them so long !!
