Curious if anyone in similar situation
A few weeks ago, I chatted with Emma and was told that my I-485 case was at the Queens Field Office, which made sense because I live in Queens, NY. Yesterday, I asked Emma again about my case timeline and where my file is currently located. This time, Emma said my case is at the Los Angeles (LA) Field Office. I asked twice, and both agents gave me the same answer. Is this normal? Has anyone else's case been transferred to a different field office even though they don't live in that area? Did it affect your processing time? I'd appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

Mine also apparently at LA Field Office (non-local). Did not receive a formal notification of the change like before. would also like to know how it affects processing time. PD 9/1/21. Submitted all required documents. Same employer and sponsor since beginning. Medicals still valid.
