My 485 just got approved (on 4/20, is this a sign or something?) . For now, the wait is over (until I need to apply again to remove condition lol). I spent so many days web surfing information about my application, stories form people, thinking what could I have done better to sped up my process! I’m feeling such a big relief.
I want to thank this community for all the support, definitely made a huge difference for my mental health. today I’ll celebrate for me, but in my heart I’ll be praying for everyone to get their cases approved soon.
Backgorund in case you’re interested:
PD: 05/26/2022 - I didn’t send medical exam with main application.
- March 21, 2023 got courtesy letter from the Fresco FO, saying that I could send my medical if I hadn’t. But they clearly mention that the letter was NOT an RFE.
- send medical by mail on 05/11/2023 to the address in the courtesy notice.
-4/19: I-130 approved.
- 4/20 (is this a sign??): I-485 approved.

@50 Playz the courtesy notice was by mail, not email. approval of i485 I realized beciase of this app. I didn’t get the usual email “we’ve taken an action on you case …”

on March 21, 23 u got courtesy notice letter on only mail? and how do u sent medical on 04/11/23 without RFE notice letter?

@Sinsupa 1 the courtesy letter said that I could send my medical exam, with a copy of the letter, directly to the field office.

@Sinsupa 1 no, the letter didn’t specify a timeframe. I had to redo my medical exam beciase I had an old version but signed after oct 5, so the doctor haas to redo the whole thing with the new format. and that took 2-3 weeks. I got the letter by mail, but I’ve heard people have also gotten emails.

last question
priority May 9 2022 GC Marriage Based Long Island New York
dropped medical exam April 21 - April 22 website says they started reviewing my i130 April 24 I-130 approved without interview!!!
now i485 still says still reviewing the case - should I expect interview to be waive and green card to be sent by mail soon? I would love to visit my family before June 15 2023
