The CR1 visa is for spouses who have been married for less than two years at the time the visa is issued, while the IR1 visa is for spouses who have been married for two years or more

CR1 applicants get Conditional Permanent Residency. So you get a 2 year green card and once you hit 2 year (or I believe 90 days before) you can file to have the conditions removed and thereafter you receive the 10 year green card IR1 gets the 10 year green card from the start

Well both are good You're able to live in the US with both and travel however But ofcourse if you have the 10 year green card (IR1) after having it for 3 years you should be eligible to apply for US citizenship. Whereas with the 2 year green card you have an additional application to go through as you need to get the 10 year green card before applying for naturalization

You are required to do interviews regardless of the type Getting a 10 year green card is just better because you don't need to apply for a new green card after 2 years
