country of citizenship.. does it matter?
Hi I would like to know if the country of citizenship of the beneficiary has an effect on how long it could take to get approved. For example could my I 130 take longer to get approved because I am from Algeria rather then someone who is from Canada? Thank you

visa category and type of processing (adjustment of status or counselar process) is all that counts. not country of citizenship

of course. my applications always take forever because I'm middle eastern, nothing more or less. I have a clean record not even a traffic ticket. at the end you don't get approved or denied based your country of origin, if everything is good you'll definitely get approved. good luck.

it is not the same. country of origin and race are key but unstated factors

it very much does. the sad reality about USCIS is race plays a big part in the hurdles you will need to overcome and the delay you will face

WoW!! so they look at the race and where you are from?

I have a feeling that the application could take longer because I’m not white American or from any country that has white people…

many people will say they don’t but they really do. welcome to America. crazy disparity between acceptance rates by race.. just saying

I believe certain countries get more scrutinization and it possibly does play a factor. . though USCIS will say that it doesn’t.

America doesn’t give much option to explain your race. and it’s always race and by country. Americans are not fond of Islamic countries Islamic phobia all bc of 9/11 is what it’s called. it will take time, and even the algeria embassy in Algeria is a harsh group of workers who don’t very much like to help their own Algerians.
