Cost of vaccines for i485 application (VAWA)
So I don’t have insurance anymore. I will be paying out of pocket. The first time I got all the vaccines, insurance paid for it. Now I am applying for i485 again. Does anyone know how much these vaccines cost? It’s strange that you can’t find information about it online, whatever little info online I see is very vague.
-TDAP 2nd dose
-POLIO
-HEPATITIS B 2nd dose
-VARICELLA 2nd dose
-INFLUENZA (during flu season)
-COVID-19 (Booster)

it depends on the state you reside, I would suggest you go to your county health department their charges are very reasonable

if you already got your vaccines and you have a proof of that, you don't need to get them again

@Mrkvica M. I did already the first time & was required to get only the first doses. Now in the second medical, I need to get 2nd doses too. The doctor was explaining about some updated USCIS requirements which I didn’t pay much attention too. I was just thinking ‘I need to get it done again’ By the way, did you hear anything from USCIS yet about your i485?

@Zivah King Thanks I will check it out
Edit - I just checked the county website. The earliest appointment they have is 3 weeks from now & it’s FREE. I can’t wait 3 weeks though.

@Kanye East check on uscis website what they say. I know that usually civil surgeon gives us that page from that form so we have proof of vaccinations.

@Kanye East what state are you in?
Lana POct 21, 2024
@Kanye East if you did 2 shots of Covid vaccine before you don’t need any booster

once you have taken those vaccines you are not to take them again. check with another approved USCIS doctor for the medical report. Some of these doctor would want you to pay their charges fully by making you take it. So always have three opinions from three approved USCIS medical examiner centers. I have had that experience before.

i spent almost 600$ only on the vaccines

@bridges 5 You are somewhat right. I went to Walgreens today & the pharmacist was confused on some of those 2nd doses. I gave him the doctors vaccine note, he asked me a few questions and was like ‘Weird’. Some don’t really required 2nd doses when I have already taken it like a year ago. I think the doctor is overdoing it but I don’t think there’s any commision involved, if that’s what you mean by ‘Pay their charges by making you take it’

what ever uscis asked for, just try to get it done. so u don't have any hiccups once u send the package back to uscis.

@Approved GreenCard That’s why I am getting all of the vaccines again. I don’t want to take any risk
bridges 5Oct 23, 2024
you are not suppose to get those vaccines again. they are not like flu shots. all you need to do is go to an approved USCIS medical center for you medical, they will take your copy of the previous medical you have done and tell you when to pick up the report for USCIS and then hand you another copy. Those shots aside Covid vaccines are for a life time.

@bridges 5 It was a USCIS authorized medical center. They gave me a list of all vaccines I need to take. Most of these are 2nd doses. New USCIS rules have included Polio now too for the medical. Not sure if the 2nd doses are USCIS mandated or just the doctor playing safe
bridges 5Oct 23, 2024
if you have done it before, do you have your own copy of your medical report you did before?
Kanye EastOct 23, 2024
@bridges 5 Yes. It was the same doctor. I gave him the copy
