Contradictory infos by USCIS agents
Hi all
I’m contacting USCIS through Emma life agent on weekly basis since a while and everytime the agent gives me an information different from the other agent. I’m literally confused on what is going on. are they giving real information or just making it up to abruptly end the chat/call.
I was told different things about the location of my case each time in three of them they mentioned the same field which is THE Washington field office. in between the first time I was told this and the last time, I was told several times that it never left the National benefit center.
Today also I was told that the last time my case was reviewed was on 1-31-2025. however one week ago I was told it was last time reviewed on 6-24-2025.
I was never told when it was transferred to the non local FO.
I asked to contact me with tier 2 agent and they confirmed that and sent me an email to confirm that someone will contact me in a few days.
Any clues about this, thoughts on what kind of info I should ask and what to say expect to help move my case???
Please leave me as much comments as possible.

emma agents will never give you the same information. what I figured out is that since cases move to FO digitally , each of the agent interpretation is different. if you heard there is a movement to FO once it’s most likely it went there digitally. I have faced this my self.

per experience, agents gives varying information. believe them at your own risk.

@Younes B also experienced the same information inconsistencies. Please let me know how your conversation goes with the agent, also how were you able to request for them to contact you?

@Dee I I simply asked to connect me with tier two agent through the chat. just to note that I’ve asked this before but they didn’t accept that. I don’t know what makes the agent agreed to my request this time.

I had a similar issue last week. A live agent said that my case was transferred to local FO. I called USCIS. a few days after and they told me that it was transferred on 6/24/25 to San Bernardino non local FO. I had a chat with another live agent on the same day and confirmed that it was transferred to San Bernardino FO. You can ask to expedite your EAD and AP if you have concrete reasons. I don’t think you can expedite AOS if it’s within the normal processing time.

@M M I have already my EAD. I didn’t applied for AP at the beginning as I thghout I will not need any of them but now I’m not sure if the AP is useful unless if it could help moving my case otherwise I don’t think it’s a wise thing to leave the US at this time.

@Younes B it’s not recommended to leave the U.S. before getting your GC especially that you didn’t apply for AP. I think you can ask to expedite your case by saying that you need to visit your home country asap and mention a strong reason. this might help to expedite getting your GC because you didn’t apply for AP

@Younes B when you requested for tier 2 agent, did you receive an email and related verifying code and telephone number? have you talk with them?

@in oon Yes I did. and then 10 days later I have received another email saying that the aim is to have response within 10 days but it may take longer. so I contacted them after 30 days about this request they said it still pending just keep waiting
