Congressman assistance
I contacted my congressman for assistance in reaching out to USCIS. The first response I received last year indicated that my case was under security background checks. In November 2025, I contacted my congressman again to request another inquiry with USCIS, and this was the response they provided: On June 15, 2021, your constituent filed Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, with USCIS. Your constituent’s Form I-360 is currently pending processing at the Vermont Service Center (VSC). On September 22, 2025, the Vermont Service Center issued an extension of the Prima Facie Determination (PFD) letter. USCIS is conducting further review of the case. At this time, no timeframe can be provided for completion. Once the additional review is finalized, USCIS will take adjudicative action on the petition. Is this considered a good sign? Thank you all for your advice and support.
