Congress letter
Hi, I have Dec 1, 2022 as my priority date for EB3. Is it fine to send the letter to Congress and ask USCIS with regard to my status? Also, anyone who has the same priority date as the cut off date? Are we considered as current? Thank you!

i saw someone eb3 row with pd 12/1/2022 approved after an interview where the officer said your date is close enough that gave approval right away.

I think if your application was submitted in 2022 please use whatever action you can pursue - service request with USCIS, congressman , White House request , senator . you should also consider pursuing writ of mandamus

do you think I should do the same? EB3 skilled ROW with PD of 28th October 2022? I’ve been current for 5 months now with no update; i140 was approved in July 2024

@Simon Smith yes!

@Simon Smith 5 months shouldn’t be a rationale to reach out for these sources IMO but if the thread owner has been waiting for more than a year or 2, that’s definitely a reason to choose any avenue . look at the date beyond which you can file a service request . if that’s in the past and that option. has been explored only can then congress , senator , White House help . I have been waiting for more than 5 months and my PD is 12/22/2014 (yeah 2014). just hand tight till the 80% processing time has lapsed and then these options are worth pursuing IMO

your priority date is not current. The date must be before the cutoff date.

you can see it in the visa bulletin last line. “earlier than” and not on the date.
“A. FINAL ACTION DATES FOR FAMILY-SPONSORED PREFERENCE CASES
On the chart below, the listing of a date for any class indicates that the class is oversubscribed (see paragraph 1); "C" means current, i.e., numbers are authorized for issuance to all qualified applicants; and "U" means unauthorized, i.e., numbers are not authorized for issuance. (NOTE: Numbers are authorized for issuance only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the final action date listed below.)”
