confused about making us is account
I am a f1 who came to USA 3 years ago and applied for asylum in Jan 2025, now I m married to a us citizen and thinking of applying for marriage based green card since asylum is taking too long. I have an online account with uscis ( asylum pending) and I wa thinking to make another account for my green card application I have already use my number and email for the asylum account, so do I file thru mail or make another account for my marriage based green card application??? should I just use the same account to file i130 or I should let my husband make an online account using his number and email ???? which is better online or thru mail Thankyou :) suggestions appreciated

this is my personal opinion so verify it with an attorney: you should file through the existing account. applying with another account might seem like you are trying to hide your asylum case. also the i130 will be filed by your spouse, all you gotta do is fill out the i130a and sign it. your spouse must attach the i130a when he files the i130. so he should create an USCIS account with his credentials if you guys want to file online

U need to withdraw your asylum case firstly and then sumbit your i130 and i485 case with the same account ,which i have experience.

@k e You need to cancel the asylum. You marriage one will be faster. You might face a lot of scrutiny because you came on a student visa then changed to asylum and then married a US citizen. Be prepared to prove your case. I would suggest talking to a lawyer about your case. Your application would be filed like any other one. Look up how to apply and what you need to do. Your A number stays the same.
