when filed concurrently , it will be the same interview! both should be approved together or I-130 can get approved earlier! I haven’t heard about two separate interviews or interview for standalone I-130

i-130 is just a formal approval for further process of the i-485 for the beneficiary. It's basically interview for i-485(beneficiary) status adjustment. Both should appear together for the interview to prove the validity.

Am waiting for an I-130 interview at my FO, then file I-485 afterwards special circumstances that can't make me file concurrently.

@A what is FO?. my i130 was approved but I haven’t heard anything on my i485.

@ niquee field office (where you currently located) and it is normal, I-130 will be approved before the adjucation on your I-485.

@ A, not sure there is an interview for I-130, if you can -concurrently then file I-485 asap with the I-797 receipt notice from your pending I-130, if you want to wait that’s fine too!

I did file concurrently. I got my work permit from last year. got i130 approved Monday. just haven’t gotten no updates or receipt from my i485. when I call they say my case is sensitive. Thanks Brady

@Brady I have an asylum case in court and my lawyer wants an approved I-130 inorder to file a motion to dismiss the case.
