Concurrent filing
This is concurrent filing, adjusting status from F-1 visa married to a green card holder; we submit I-130, I-485, I-131, and I-765. I-130 is at California Center, I-485 Cleveland, Ohio filed office, I-131 and I-765 are at the National Benefits Center. I-131 & I-765 both have never been approved I-130 was approved a day after the interview ( June 29, 2021) I-485 was approved 36 days after the interview The RFE was requesting for a joint sponsor. I wanted to thank everyone here. You learn things out of this app more than any other place. Good luck all, and God is good!

Did you receive 10yr green card or conditional 2 yr ?

@HP. I have not received the card yet, but the approval letter on the online account is written conditional. I have been married for only a year, so it makes sense to be conitional. Hope that helps!

hey congratulations it was very fast for LPR

@ AS Thank you so much. I hope your case get approved soon. Yes, thankfully it is quit quick. I honestly do not see much different in term of wait times, if you are already in the US, it will depend on the center and filed office. Since when you check the field office processing time, there is only one choice for family regardless whether US citizen or LPR. Howerver, if spouse outside of US, then US citizen waiting time is way shorter.

Congrats, wish you all the best. Thanks for sharing your timeline, My field office is Cleveland too. I applied for AOS in July 2021 and had my biometrics in NOV, still waiting for an update, it says your case is being actively reviewed. I hope I get my interview soon.

@Aboo Ali. Thank you so much, and you are very welcome. I hope that you hear from them very soon. Have you gotten your EAD card yet?

No, it says my I-765 case is being reviewed too.

@Aboo Ali, your I-765 is outside of normal processing since mine I recall that it is elegible for raising a request on August 18, 2022. Check it out here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Thanks, man. I did the request and what I received was that "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case," nothing more. I hate the wait.

@ Aboo Ali, I see. Waiting is horrible. It just helped me to read other people's timelines hoping that mine would be next. I hope that you will receive your interview soon. I hope that you will be approved on the spot. Even If you have been married for while or you have strong evidence, your interview might be waived. :)

@Adam T your wife has to maintain her status the whole time ?
A
Adam TMar 30, 2023
@moonz g She did maintain her status since she is in school, but I believe that once you I-485 is accepted ( recived a receipt) and then from there on, you do not need to maintain your visa status. That means you cannot work, unless you receive your EAD card. You cannot travel unless you have approved I-131. The difference in keeping status is If the I-485 is denied ( God forbid), then the applicant cannot remain in the U.S. and will have to leave. If, however, the applicant does not use the EAD, he/she will be able to retain his/her visa status and remain in the U.S. for the duration of his/her non-immigrant visa, even if the I-485 application is denied.
